Creating abstract art using various different parts of pictures to recreate a new image.
This project was set in the first year of my studies at university. The brief was set to create different collages based on a few different genres; the male form, the female form, movement, and multiple forms.
I decided to base my series of collages on historical and iconic achievements in modern history, so selected people or animals of significance who had achieved something great in their line of work to create my collages about.
Creating my collages digitally meant that the designs would be a lot more styled and uniform than if they were done by hand, which would have created a more classic and authentic look. As I wanted to become a digital designer in the future, I thought it made more sense to do it this way.
