This was a university project that tested my ability to select a theme within graphic design and research and expand on how the visuals of the graphics are used to communicate.
I chose to do my project on football badges; looking in depth into their history, from the very first designs for football badges and how they’ve evolved into the football badges we see today in modern football. I felt his would be a good subject for my project because there’s a lot of visual graphics within football badges, with each individual piece of each badge having a certain connotation, historical otherwise.
Around the time I decided on my subject and started the project David Beckham purchased his franchise team in the USA, so it made sense to use my research to tie into this and I finished off my research by making design concepts for a football badge for David Beckham’s newly purchased franchise team Inter Miami.
