Using Adobe After Effects to create an animation.

This project was set to me at my second year of university. The brief was to create a one minute animation that could be about whatever we liked. It had to be done using Adobe After Effects and to be at a professional standard ready to hand in.

I started the project by researching into some videos that used ballistic typography to either subtitle a video or narrate it and I thought that style was really cool so it was how I would chose to style my animation.

I chose a clip from Fight Club because it’s a very iconic film and has some very meaningful dialogue that would work well accompanied with ballistic typography to subtitle some of the lines.

I worked meticulously trying to move certain letters and words in time with the dialogue and accompanied certain lines of dialogue with animated icons.
