Designing a logo for a recently developed children’s home.
Mayfields Lodge are a sister company of Horizon Homecare and Live-in who are a long time client of Tidal Studios. In 2020 it was announced that Horizon would be building a new children’s home for those children who are ill and in need of care.
I was set the task by Tidal Studios to design the new logo for the recently developed home; it needed to be something relevant and professional looking that could be used for multiple different medias, such as signage and business cards.
I look at designing the logo with a child holding the hand of a carer, and noticed how the imagery looked a lot like the ‘M’ of Mayfields Lodge. With this in mind, I feature the ‘M’ design heavily in the design, making the ‘M’ look like two people holding hands.
